SpareBank 1 is a Norwegian alliance of savings banks and the brand name they share, with its head office in Oslo. The alliance is organised through the holding company SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS, owned by the member banks, and together they form the second largest banking group in Norway, with total assets of 625 billion kroner, 352 branches and 6,300 staff. The banks sell the group's products and work together on the brand, on IT and on training. Group companies include the fund manager ODIN Forvaltning and its life and general insurers.
