Vitusapotek is a chain of 300 pharmacies in Norway, based in Oslo. It is the second largest pharmacy chain in the country after Apotek 1 and was set up in 2001, after the Norwegian pharmacy market was deregulated. The chain belongs to Norsk Medisinaldepot, a wholesaler that is part of McKesson Europe and supplies pharmacies from a distribution centre in Oslo and a branch in Harstad. Its sister operation Ditt Apotek is a franchise for independent chemists.
