Cinemark is an American movie theatre chain that started operations in 1977 and is headquartered in Plano, Texas. It runs nearly 500 theatres and more than 5,600 screens across the Americas, including 301 theatres in 42 US states and 194 theatres in 13 countries in Central and South America. It is the largest cinema chain in Brazil, with about 30 per cent of that market. Besides its flagship brand it also operates Century Theatres, Tinseltown USA, CinéArts, Rave Cinemas and Gamescape.
