Málaga CF is a Spanish football club from Málaga in Andalusia, founded in 1994 as the successor to CD Málaga. It plays at La Rosaleda, a ground of about 30,000 places, and competes in La Liga after promotion in 2026. The club reached the Champions League quarter-finals in 2013 under Manuel Pellegrini, then fell through the divisions after its financing collapsed. It plays in blue and white and is nicknamed Los Boquerones, the anchovies, after the fish the city is known for.
