Petco is an American retailer of pet food, supplies and services, based in San Diego, California. It began as a mail order business supplying veterinary goods before moving into retail stores. Its shops sell food, accessories and live animals such as fish and small pets, and many branches also offer grooming and veterinary care. Besides the United States the company serves customers in Mexico and Chile, and in Canada it trades through departments inside Canadian Tire stores.
