Académica de Coimbra, in full Associação Académica de Coimbra: Organismo Autónomo de Futebol, is the football arm of the student association of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, with roots going back to 1887. It plays at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra, a ground of 29,622 places built for Euro 2004, and competes in the second tier after promotion from Liga 3. The club won the Taça de Portugal in 1939 and again in 2012, beating Sporting in the final. It plays in black and white and is nicknamed A Briosa.
