Degerfors IF is a Swedish football club from Degerfors in Örebro County, founded on 13 January 1907 in a town that grew up around its ironworks. It plays at Stora Valla, a ground of about 6,000 places, and competes in the Swedish league system, moving between Allsvenskan and Superettan in recent seasons. The club won the Swedish championship in 1940 and the cup in 1993. It plays in red and white. Its academy produced Gunnar Nordahl, one of the great Swedish forwards of the 1940s.
