Egon is a Norwegian restaurant chain that opened its first restaurant at Nordstrand in Oslo in 1984. It is a registered trademark of Norrein AS, which has its headquarters in Trondheim. Guests order and pay at the bar, give the number of their table and collect their drinks themselves, while the food is brought to the table. The name comes from Egon Olsen, the character from the Olsen Gang films, and his bowler hat is used in the chain's advertising.
