Elgiganten is a consumer electronics retailer that trades in Denmark, including Greenland, and in Sweden through the separate companies Elgiganten A/S and Elgiganten AB. Both are run directly under Elkjøp Nordic AS, the Norwegian parent that trades as Elkjøp at home and also owns Gigantti in Finland, Elko in Iceland and Elding in the Faroe Islands. The stores sell consumer electronics and household appliances. The English actor John Cleese appeared in the chain's Nordic television advertising in 2009.
