Emirates is an airline based in Al Garhoud in Dubai and one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates, alongside Etihad Airways. Founded in 1985, it is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai. From its hub at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport it operates more than 3,600 flights a week to over 150 cities in 80 countries with a fleet of more than 250 aircraft. It is the largest airline in the Middle East, and freight is handled by Emirates SkyCargo.
