Eroski is a Spanish supermarket chain founded in 1969 and headquartered in Elorrio in the Basque Country. It is run as a worker and consumer co-operative within the Mondragón Corporation and has close to a thousand outlets across Spain, not counting franchises. The formats range from Eroski hypermarkets down to the smaller Eroski Center and Eroski City stores, alongside Eroski Viajes travel agencies. The name combines the Basque words for buying and place.
