CSA Steaua București is a Romanian multi-sport club from Bucharest, founded on 7 June 1947 and run by the Ministry of National Defence. Its football team plays at the Stadionul Steaua in the Ghencea district and competes in the second tier. The army club is the institutional home of the name that won the European Cup in 1986, the first Eastern European side to do so, though a long legal dispute has separated it from the club that continued in the top flight. It plays in red and blue.
