Júbilo Iwata is a Japanese football club from Iwata in Shizuoka Prefecture, founded in 1972 as the works team of Yamaha Motor. It plays at Yamaha Stadium, a ground of about 15,000 places, and competes in the J2 League. The club won three J1 titles around the turn of the century and the AFC Champions League in 1999. It plays in sky blue. Júbilo is Spanish and Portuguese for joy, chosen when the club turned professional in 1994.
