Jysk is a Danish retail chain that sells mattresses, furniture and interior decor. It was founded by Lars Larsen, who opened his first shop on the Silkeborgvej in Aarhus in April 1979, and it has grown into Denmark's largest international retailer with more than 3,400 stores in 48 countries. The name means Jutlandic and points to the company's origins. Jysk is owned by the founder's family through the Lars Larsen Group, and its logo features a goose.
