Magasin du Nord, usually called Magasin, is a Danish department store chain. Its roots go back to a shop opened in Aarhus in 1868, and its flagship store now stands on Kongens Nytorv in central Copenhagen. The chain has seven department stores in Denmark and is a subsidiary of the German retailer Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf. It was a founding member of the International Association of Department Stores and has belonged to it since 1928.
