Pep Boys is an American chain of car repair shops and parts stores. It was founded in Philadelphia in 1921 as Pep Auto Supply by Maurice Strauss, Emanuel Rosenfeld, Graham Jackson and Moe Radavitz, and the familiar name Manny, Moe and Jack comes from three of those founders. The business covers automotive maintenance and repair as well as the sale and fitting of tyres. Its workshops handle servicing, brakes, batteries and other repairs for private motorists.
