The San Jose Earthquakes are an American soccer club from San Jose, California, founded in 1994 as a charter club of Major League Soccer. They play at PayPal Park, a ground of about 18,000 places, and compete in the Western Conference. The Earthquakes won MLS Cup in 2001 and 2003. They play in blue and black. The name goes back to the San Jose club of the old North American Soccer League, which George Best played for in the 1980s.
