SAS, or Scandinavian Airlines, is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, formed in 1946 as a joint venture of the three countries' national airlines. Its main hub is Copenhagen, with further bases in Oslo and Stockholm, and it flies within Scandinavia and Europe as well as to North America and Asia. Regional routes are flown by subsidiaries such as SAS Link. The airline left Star Alliance for SkyTeam in 2024.
