Spinx is an American operator of petrol stations and convenience stores in South Carolina and North Carolina. The company was founded in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1972 by Stewart Spinks, and it still has its head office in that city. Its sites combine a fuel forecourt with a convenience store selling drinks, snacks and prepared food. The name is a word play on the founding family's surname Spinks and the word Sphinx.
