Adelaide United FC is an Australian football club from Adelaide, South Australia, founded on 12 September 2003 to take the city's place in the national league. It plays at Coopers Stadium, also known as Hindmarsh Stadium, a ground of about 16,500 places, and competes in the A-League Men. The club won the championship in 2016 and the premiership twice, and reached the AFC Champions League final in 2008, the first Australian side to do so. It plays in red and is nicknamed the Reds. Its women's team plays in the A-League Women.
