Dirk, formerly known as Dirk van den Broek, is a Dutch supermarket chain that operates 121 stores in the Netherlands. It goes back to 1942, when Dirk van den Broek opened his first shop in Amsterdam, and the name was later shortened to Dirk. The chain competes mainly on price, and its branches are concentrated in the west of the country. It belongs to Detailresult Groep N.V., the retail group that also owns the DekaMarkt supermarkets.
