Uniqlo is a Japanese clothing retailer founded on 2 June 1984 and the main brand of the Fast Retailing group. It is registered in Yamaguchi city, in Yamaguchi prefecture, and has its flagship store in the Ginza district of Tokyo. The chain sells plain, mass produced casual wear for men, women and children, including its own Heattech thermal range and Ultra Light Down jackets, and has spread from Japan across Asia, Europe and North America. Its founder Tadashi Yanai is chairman, president and chief executive.
