Geo is a Japanese retail company founded in 1989 that buys and sells used goods, mainly DVDs, CDs and video games, and also rents out DVDs, CDs and Blu-ray discs. Its shops put rental shelves alongside a trade in second hand discs, games and consoles. The company had 1,086 rental stores as of September 2023. Its name comes from the Latin word geo, meaning earth, chosen because the company wanted to entertain everyone on the planet.
