Galeries Lafayette is an upmarket French department store chain founded in Paris. Its flagship store stands on Boulevard Haussmann in the ninth arrondissement, under a domed glass roof. The company is part of Groupe Galeries Lafayette and has belonged to the International Association of Department Stores since 1960. As of 2026 it runs 50 stores in France, five of them in Greater Paris and 12 of them outlets, along with nine locations abroad, mostly in Asia. By store count it is the largest chain of its kind in Europe.
