Halmstads BK is a Swedish football club from Halmstad in Halland on the west coast, founded on 7 February 1914. It plays at Örjans Vall, a ground of about 10,900 places, and competes in Allsvenskan. The club has won four Swedish championships, in 1976, 1979, 1997 and 2000, and the Swedish Cup in 1995, an unusual record for a city of its size. It plays in blue and white and is known locally as HBK or simply Bollklubben. Its two titles around the turn of the century came under Tom Prahl with a squad built largely from the region.
