Real Sociedad is a Spanish football club from San Sebastián in the Basque Country, founded in 1909. It plays at the Reale Arena in Anoeta, a ground of about 40,000 places, and competes in La Liga. The club won the Spanish championship in 1981 and 1982 and the Copa del Rey three times, most recently in 2020. It plays in blue and white stripes and is known as La Real or Txuri-Urdin. Its women's team and its academy, Zubieta, are among the strongest in Spain.
