União de Leiria is a Portuguese football club from Leiria, founded on 6 June 1966. It plays at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, a ground of 23,888 places built for Euro 2004, and competes in Liga Portugal 2. The club spent more than a decade in the Primeira Liga around the turn of the century, when José Mourinho had his first head coaching job there, and later fell to the district divisions before rebuilding. It plays in blue and white.
