Catharina Ziekenhuis is a general hospital in Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands, founded in 1843 and located on Michelangelolaan in the Woensel district. It is the largest hospital in the city and works as a top clinical and referral teaching hospital, providing care at an academic level. Its focal points are oncology, through the Catharina Cancer Institute, and cardiovascular medicine: it runs the largest heart and vascular centre in the country and is one of eight non university hospitals allowed to perform open heart surgery.
