Kastner & Öhler is an Austrian department store chain based in Graz in Styria, mainly active in the south of the country. The family run company goes back to a shop opened in 1873 by Karl Kastner and Herman Öhler. They were the first in Central Europe to work with fixed prices and to run a mail order business, and they built the first department store in Austria-Hungary. The group today also includes an online shop and Gigasport, a sports chain started in 1994.
