Erasmus MC, formally Erasmus University Medical Center, is a teaching hospital in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It is affiliated with Erasmus University and houses its faculty of medicine. Erasmus MC is the largest of the eight university medical centres in the country, both by turnover and by number of beds, and it ranks among the leading European institutions in clinical medicine. The hospital is named after the humanist Desiderius Erasmus.
