Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a Canadian chain of luxury hotels that operates more than 70 properties worldwide, with its strongest presence in Canada. Its roots go back to 1886 and the hotels built by Canadian Pacific, and the company took the Fairmont name in 2001, when Canadian Pacific Hotels merged with the American Fairmont chain. Several of its houses are historic railway hotels, such as the Château Frontenac in Quebec City. Since 2016 the brand has been part of the French group Accor.
