Melbourne City FC is an Australian football club from Melbourne, Victoria, founded in 2009 as Melbourne Heart and renamed in 2014 after City Football Group took ownership. The men's team plays in the A-League Men and the women's team in the A-League Women, where it is the most successful club in the competition's history. Home matches are at AAMI Park, the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, which holds around 30,000. City won its first men's championship in 2021 and has been a regular finalist since. It shares scouting, coaching and playing staff with the wider City Football Group network.
