Birmingham City Football Club is an English club from Bordesley in Birmingham, formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance and renamed to its present name in 1943. It plays at St Andrew's, a ground of 29,409 places, and competes in the Championship. The club won the League Cup in 1963 and 2011 and reached the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup final twice in the 1960s. It plays in blue and is known simply as Blues. Since 2023 it has been owned by a group including Tom Brady, and it has plans for a new stadium in the east of the city.
