Stal Mielec is a Polish football club from Mielec in the Subcarpathian region, founded on 10 April 1939 as the works team of an aircraft factory. It plays at the Stal Mielec Stadium, a ground of 7,000 places, and competes in the Polish league. The club won the Polish championship in 1973 and 1976 with a side built around Grzegorz Lato. It plays in blue and white. Mielec was a centre of the Polish aviation industry, which the club is named after.
