Helsana Ltd is a Swiss insurance group specialising in health insurance, with its headquarters in Dübendorf. It is one of the largest health and accident insurers in Switzerland, with over 1.53 million customers and a premium volume of 9 billion Swiss francs. The group employs roughly 3,700 people and runs a Swiss network of 13 general agencies and 27 sales offices. The name comes from the two health insurers that merged in 1996 to form it, Helvetia and Artisana.
