IGA, short for Independent Grocers of Australia, is an Australian chain of supermarkets. The brand is owned by the Australian conglomerate Metcash through its food and grocery division, while the individual stores are owned and run independently. IGA is the fourth largest supermarket chain in Australia and competes with Aldi, Coles and Woolworths. Its store formats include IGA Supermarkets, Supa IGA, IGA X-press, IGA Local Grocer and Foodland in South Australia.
