FC Koper is a Slovenian football club from Koper on the Adriatic coast, founded in 1920 as Circolo sportivo Capodistriano. It plays at the Stadion Bonifika, a ground of 4,047 places, and competes in the PrvaLiga, the Slovenian top division. The club won the national championship in 2010 and the Slovenian Cup four times. It plays in yellow and blue and is nicknamed Kanarčki, the Canaries. Koper is Slovenia's only significant port, and the club is the leading side of the bilingual Istrian coast.
