FC Luzern is a Swiss football club from Lucerne, founded on 12 August 1901. It plays at the Swissporarena, a ground of about 17,000 places opened in 2011, and competes in the Super League. The club won the Swiss championship in 1989 and the Swiss Cup in 1960, 1992 and 2021. It plays in blue and white and is known as FCL. Lucerne sits at the head of its lake below Mount Pilatus, and the club draws support from across central Switzerland.
