PSV, in full Philips Sport Vereniging, is a Dutch football club from Eindhoven in North Brabant, founded on 31 August 1913 as the sports club of the Philips works. It plays at the Philips Stadion, a ground of about 35,000 places, and competes in the Eredivisie. PSV have won the national championship more than twenty times, the KNVB Cup a dozen times, the European Cup in 1988 and the UEFA Cup in 1978. It plays in red and white. Ruud Gullit, Ronaldo and Ruud van Nistelrooy all played here.
