Repsol is a Spanish energy company based in Madrid, active in oil and gas exploration and production, refining, chemicals and, more recently, electricity and renewable power. It supplies motor fuel through a wide network of service stations in Spain and Portugal and also sells lubricants and bottled gas. The business traces its roots to CAMPSA, the Spanish fuel monopoly set up in 1927 under Miguel Primo de Rivera. Antonio Brufau Niubó chairs the group and Josu Jon Imaz San Miguel is its chief executive.
