Aer Lingus is the flag carrier of Ireland, founded in 1936 and based at Dublin Airport. Its name is an anglicisation of the Irish for air fleet. It flies across Europe and on long-haul routes to North America, and it has been part of International Airlines Group, alongside British Airways and Iberia, since 2015. Its shamrock tail is one of the more recognisable marks in European aviation.
