AS Monaco is a football club from the Principality of Monaco that plays in the French league system, founded on 23 August 1924. It plays at the Stade Louis II, a ground of about 16,400 places built out over reclaimed land, and competes in Ligue 1. Monaco have won the French championship eight times and the Coupe de France five times, and reached the Champions League final in 2004. It plays in red and white diagonal halves. Its academy produced Kylian Mbappé and Thierry Henry.
