Avis Car Rental, LLC is a car rental company headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, that operates worldwide. It is part of Avis Budget Group, alongside Budget Rent a Car, Budget Truck Rental and Zipcar, and the group runs the Avis brand in North America, South America, Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. In 2011 it bought Avis Europe plc, until then a separate company licensing the name. Its fleet has long leaned on General Motors cars, but also includes Ford and Toyota.
