Brooks Brothers is an American clothing brand founded in New York in 1818 and the oldest American apparel brand in continuous operation. It started as a family business and built its name on tailored menswear, suits and shirts. After a change of ownership in 2020 it now belongs to Catalyst Brands, which also holds JCPenney, Aéropostale, Eddie Bauer, Lucky Brand Jeans and Nautica. In Europe it trades through its own shops and a separate European website.
