City Gross is a Swedish supermarket chain that concentrates on food retail. It was founded in 1993 and opened its first store in Hyllinge, in the south of the country. The chain has about 42 shops, mostly in southern Sweden, and around 2,800 employees, on a revenue of 9.1 billion Swedish kronor. In 2024 it was bought by the Swedish food group Axfood for 2 billion kronor. Axfood, which also owns chains such as Willys and Hemköp, is one of the largest food retailers in Sweden.
