Eni S.p.A. is an Italian energy company founded in 1953 and headquartered at the Palazzo Eni in Rome. It explores for and produces oil and natural gas and refines and sells petroleum products, with operations in dozens of countries. Its filling stations, once branded Agip, now carry the Eni name and the six legged dog logo. The Italian state is the largest shareholder and the shares are listed in Milan as a component of the FTSE MIB index.
