Falkirk Football Club is a Scottish club from Falkirk in the central belt, founded in 1876 and one of the older clubs in the country. It plays at the Falkirk Stadium, a ground of about 8,000 places, and competes in the Premiership after successive promotions. The club won the Scottish Cup in 1913 and 1957 and reached the final again in 1997 and 2009. It plays in navy blue and white and is nicknamed the Bairns, a Scots word for children, taken from the town's motto: better meddle with the deil than the bairns o Falkirk.
