Finnair Plc is the flag carrier and largest airline of Finland, with its headquarters in Vantaa on the grounds of Helsinki Airport, which is also its hub. It was founded on 1 November 1923 as Aero O/Y, which makes it one of the oldest airlines in continuous operation. Finnair and its subsidiaries dominate domestic and international air travel in Finland, and the airline belongs to the Oneworld alliance. The Finnish state is the majority shareholder with 55.68 per cent of the shares.
