Grenoble Foot 38 is a French football club from Grenoble in the Alps, whose original incarnation dates from 1911 and which took its present form in 1998. It plays at the Stade des Alpes, a ground of about 20,000 places in the middle of the city, and competes in Ligue 2. The club spent two seasons in Ligue 1 around 2009, backed at the time by the Japanese company Index, and then fell to the amateur divisions before climbing back. It plays in blue and white.
