FC Lorient is a French football club from Lorient in Brittany, founded on 2 April 1926. It plays at the Stade du Moustoir, a ground of 18,110 places, and competes in Ligue 1. The club won the Coupe de France in 2002, its only major trophy. It plays in orange and black and is nicknamed Les Merlus, the hakes, after the fish landed at what is one of the largest fishing ports in France.
